Help transform the lives of children in Kisumu, Kenya
Ideas for your 'Just Christmas' list could include:-
- Give away a treasured possession
- Make a card/ collage to express what you love and appreciate about someone/ a family
- Make a book of vouchers to be used through the year, for example a parent could give a
child 12 vouchers one to be redeemed each month with items like:
- "I will take you for a coffee and cake"
- "I will take you bike riding"
- "I will buy you a t-shirt"
- "I will take you to the cinema"
- "I will take you swimming"
- "I will cook your favourite meal"
- "We can bake together"
- etc.
- Buy fair trade presents/cards
- Make a box and decorate it- place inside vouchers offering to use your gifts and time. e.g. I will fix your computer/ mow your lawn/ babysit/ take you for a coffee/ cook you a meal
- Make a card with a picture and add a value in £ given to P’s and G’s Just Christmas World Vision Kenya project in Kisumu/ given to an organisation/ project you support
- Make presents/ Christmas decorations/ advent calendar
- Come to the craft evening 30th Oct/ soup lunch 6th Dec for fun and creative present ideas
- Family fun basket – put in the ingredients for making a pizza, plus a blockbuster voucher and some popcorn or a cookie mix jar with mixing spoon and baking tray
- Offer the time to organise photos into albums/ boxes/ discs etc
- Make a box put into the box cards with specific examples of when a child/ friend has been kind, has served God, encouraged you etc
