YOUTH DIRECTOR
St Paul’s & St George’s is a vibrant Scottish Episcopal (Anglican) church with a congregation of around 700 of whom around 70 are aged between 11 and 18. We are striving to build a lively, culturally-relevant and Christ-centred community, worshipping and serving from the centre of Edinburgh.
We are looking for an experienced youth leader to develop and lead the youth ministry, inspiring and working with volunteers and staff to help young people from 11-18 within and beyond the church to encounter with God and engage with Jesus.
We are seeking a committed evangelical Christian with:
- a passion for seeing young people come to Christ and develop their relationship with God
- a demonstrable gift for youth ministry
- Relevant qualifications and significant experience in working with young people
- Leadership gifts and proven skills for inspiring and coordinating volunteers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
- Administrative/IT skills who is organised and flexible
- Knowledge of child protection requirements and sensitivity to confidentiality
- Creative gifts and a strong sense of fun
The position is full time with a salary range of £23k-£25k depending on experience and qualifications. Closing date for applications is 17 July 2009.
